Years 1967 and 1968, Personal communication from Robert Richmond (Notts) reports that Andrew Walker's (playing for Notts in the 1960s and 70s) score book states 1972 was the first time since 1930 that Notts had won the Midlands title. Based on BCF Yearbook report that Notts and another Midlands county played in the BCF quarter-finals in these years (Information from David Anderton, Staffs) the other teams are presumed to have been Midlands champions in the years concerned.
