Published 21 August 2012 Greater Manchester u160 only Midland team with 2012 national honours7 Jul. Manchester just squeaked through on tie-break, against Yorkshire while Leics lost on tie-break to Hertfordshire. Notts, Warks, and Worcs, bow out in the semi-finals9 Jun. Leicestershire Minor Counties and Greater Manchester u160 are the only Midlands teams to make it to the finals. Worcs u140, Warks u120, and Notts u100 go down in the semi finals. Midlands teams through to quarter finals except in the open19 May. Staffordshire Open team lose to Middlesex. In the under-180, Notts and Warks also fail to progress. Midlands counties enter 29 teams for 2011-12 Season
28 Oct. Leics u160 team are withdrawn. 5 Sep. Notts are not attempting to run an Open team this season leaving Warwickshire and Staffordshire to fight for the title. Both teams automatically qualify for the National Stages. That leaves 6 teams to fight for the two National place in the Minor Championship. Lincolnshire make up for the loss of Notts open team by entering an extra team in the under-120 championship. Leicestershire have entered the under-140 rather than the under-120. Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire will battle it out for the under-180 and under-100 championships. The current fixtures dates should therefore see three championships decided by the end of January. 4 Sep. Julie Johnson has sent the fixtures lists for the new season to captains or county secretaries. These are now available in a draft webpage using the "Fixtures list" menu button on the left.
