By playing in the competitions hosted on this website you agree that your name, chess grade and your membership status with the English Chess Federation (ECF) may be published on this website for the purposes of recording the results of the competitions. You also agree that such information will be passed to the ECF, the governing body, for rating purposes, and published on their website.

  • Sat & Sun 22 & 23 Feb, Coventry Open at The Allan Higgs Centre, Allard Way Coventry. Open, u2000, u1750 and u1500 tournaments. Half-point byes available in rounds 1-4
  • Sat & Sun 10 & 11 May, Nottingham Congress at Nottingham High School Forest Road East Nottingham NG1 4HH. Five rounds, Open, Major (u1900), Intermediate (u1700), Minor (1500) and Improvers (u1300) tournaments, time control 90 min + 10 sec increment.
  • Sat & Sun 16 & 17 Aug, Staffordshire Chess Congress at Kings Hall, Kingsway, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 9SB. Five rounds, Open, major (u1950) Intermediate (u1700), Minor (u1450), time control 110 min + 10 sec increment. Pay and display parking £5.20 all day Saturday, free on Sunday,
  • Sat & Sun 20 & 21 Sep, Derbyshire Chess Congress at Trent College, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Notts NG10 4AD. Five rounds, Open, Major (u1950), Intermediate (1750), Minor (u1600) and Foundation (u1375) tournaments. time control 90 min + 10 sec increment from move 1, half-point byes available in rounds 1-4. Free parling onsite, Snacks and bookstall available.
