Shropshire win u140 national honours

Warwickshire win u120 championship

National county finals 13 July

13 Jul. Surrey won the Open County Team Championship beating Middlesex. The Midlands were assured of at least one national title in the u120 because Warwickshire met Staffordshire. The u140 championship was a fine win by Shropshire over Kent.
10 Jul. Peter Sherlock (Lincs) is the controller for the 2013-14 MCCU county team competitions.
30 Mar. Staffs are Open and u140 champions; Notts take the u160 and u100 Championships; Warks take the u180 and u120 championships.
30 Mar. Staffs draw their final match to take u140 team Championship.
9 Mar. Notts win the u100 team championship by beating Warks.
9 Feb. Notts win their second match in the u160 tournament to become u160 team champions.
2 Feb. Staffs are Midlands Open Champions with a win over Warks and Lincolnshire become Minor Counties Champions with wins in all their matches while Warks get the u120 Championship with their win over Worcestershire.
27 Jan. Mick Norris' eagle eyes have found a copy of the draw for 2013. Please note the correct postal address and code for the final's venue on 13 July is: Trident Centre, Warwick CV34 6SW.

27 Oct. Warwickshire beat Nottinghamshire in the u180 competition and become first Midland counties campions for 2012-13

2 Sep. The controller has now received all entries and they show a net decrease of two teams. Shrops discontinue their Minor Counties challenge, Staffordshire enter just two teams, the Open and the u120, but Leics go fir the first time into the u100.
24 Aug. After debates within Warwickshire and Worcestershire it is understood that Warks will enter the Open championship rather than the Minor Counties. Meanwhile Worcestershire decided it would not enter an extra team and will enter Minor Counties, u140 and u120 teams.

23 June. At the MCCU AGM, Julie Johnson has again agreed to control the MCCU Inter-Counties Matches working with the Director of Events, Cyril Johnson. Worcestershire reported they hoped to enter a u160 team. Various proposals to change rules were discussed and approved along with a guide for team captains. In addition to technical changes, the rules to resolve ties were agreed. These are now published. To see them, visit county team match rules.
