Report from Neil Graham - In the Minor Counties Lincolnshire lost their title, losing 9-7 to Surrey. The match was very close but the Midlands county lost a couple of key games towards the end of play leaving them with an impossible task to salvage 1½ point from the last two games neither of which they were winning; once one game was lost the other was quickly agreed drawn.
