A very close match, Worcestershire stormed into a 7 - 1 lead but a large majority of the games still in play looked to be in Lincolnshire's favour. They did pull it back and with 3 to finish Worcs still needed half a point to win the match. Worcester player Peter Kitson successfully defended a bishop versus knight and pawn ending to secure a draw and the match for Worcestershire.
