Worcestershire started a board down after one of the team was admitted to hospital on the day of the match. The first to finish was Board 10 where John Hesketh who made a solid draw in his debut game for the Worcestershire under-120s. Another earlier finish was board 1 when David Smith gave Worcestershire their first victory. Richard Collett , captain, and fellow club player BRian Allsop were the other Worcestershire winners. Michele Clack got a solid draw and last to finish was junior Monty Woodhouse who doggedly battled out to draw an endgamewith inferior material.
