Last updated 12 March 2012 Lincs go top with win against Worcs10 Mar. Lincolnshire had a clear victory over Worcestershire. Leicestershire beat Derbyshire and the foxes get the trophy because of Leicesters' earlier win over Lincs. Paul Kelman reports that the Leics-Derbys match went to final game. The Derbyshire player needed a win to equalise the match scores 8 all. It was a queen and rook ending that looked good for Derbys. Both players had queen and rook and the Derbys player extra pawns, but he did not exchange off the heavy weight artillary to go into a king and pawn ending and the game was drawn. 1 Mar. Greater Manchester were unable to field a team against Shrops and have conceded this match. 18 Feb. Mick Norris reports that GMC lost to Derbys at Chorlton. 28 Jan. Lincs thrash Shrops to go top of the table and Leics beat Worcs. Leics are favourites to for the title because they beat Lincs in the individual encounter, but four teams are still in the running. 1-3 Dec. Shrops concede match to Derbys and Worcs pull off a win against a much improved Greater Manchester side while Lincs lose to Leics. 5 Nov. Worcs and Derbys draw while Shrops beat Leics. 29 Oct. Greater Manchester lose to Lincs. 15 Oct. Home wins for Leics and Lincs and a surprise win for Worcs away. 16 Sep. In the first round there was a shock defeat for Greater Manchester overwhelmed by Leicestershire. Greater Manchester will be chastened by this loss because they stepped down to division 2 last season. Worcestershire registered their first win for over two years. 5 Sep. Six teams have entered with Greater Manchester moving down a division. All teams are in action in the first matches to be held 15 October
