Match report by Ray Collett. The result was as expected. Underdogs Worcester further reduced their chances by defaulting on two boards against a Lincolnshire side that has been in good form. Board was first to finish when Macdonald's experience overwhelmed his young Worcestershire opponent. Then Worcester scored their first point with a win from captain Andrew Moore. The last to finish was Board 10 as the Keith Palmer had to demonstrate a win in a minor piece ending. Worcester City Club players, however, went away happy with three of Worcestershire's four wins from five boards.
